About the composer
Joaquim Casimiro Júnior was born in Lisbon, Portugal, in 1808. He has composed many works, especially for the theater, opera, comedy, ballet. His sacred works are as well for choir a capella, as with orchestra or organ accompaniment. He died in December 1862.
