About the composer
Joaquim Casimiro Júnior was born in
Lisbon, Portugal, in 1808. He has composed many works, especially for the
theater, opera, comedy, ballet. His sacred works are as well for choir a
capella, as with orchestra or organ accompaniment. He died in December 1862.

painter Luís Ança,
sent to me. Very nice, as for years I had tried to buy it somewhere. It is devoted to the sacred works of Casimiro. Pity that the information in the insert is only in Portuguese. Probably recorded in 1998. |
