About the composer
Not more is known about the composer than his name and the fact that he lived in the
eighteenth century. The sheet music of the composition was found in the musical archives
of the Schwarzenberg family of Czechia.

The final choral "Amen" is a small fugue, as is stanza 15. The text is sung completely, with the exception of the third line of stanza 9, which is omitted. |
